Week 1
I’ve been running all compounds for Project Hyperbloom for a little over a week now. Weight is going up like crazy, it’s piling on faster than I anticipated, I was 243lbs this morning fasted, 21lbs up from April! So this actually exceeds expectations by 5-10lbs, reference projection chart included. I’m on insulin and GHRP-6 3x daily, and pioglitazone and telmisartan once daily. I’ll do a post delving more into the science behind this at some point
Incredibly excited to see how things progress the next 11 weeks. I will be increasing GHRP-6 dose to try producing more hunger, so feeders hmu 🐷

A Interview with Alex Hirsch Update!!
Editing for An Interview with Alex Hirsch is nearly done! @fordtato and I still have a bit more work to do due to various external obligations we've had to take care of first (I mean, I'm in my last semester so I think you can guess how busy right now is for me, lol). Our hope is to announce a release date very soon. We obviously don't wanna rush things and announce one just yet in case we gotta push it back. So, once we know we're ready to release this, we will make sure you all know.
And the interview is not the only thing coming! I have a behind the scenes video planned after the interview I wanna release, a special video discussing something huge I was able to accomplish with Alex Hirsch that concludes a piece of old GF fandom history and a little goofy thing he told us that fits better in a separate video, lol.
All this will be coming soon! I know the channel has been kinda dry lately but all will come in good time. The GF fandom is in for some really cool new trivia and lore to enjoy until the Book of Bill arrives. Plus, I cannot wait to show off this little thing Alex sent me. I think you all will love it. I sure did :P
So stay safe, stay weird, stay tuned and very soon, you'll all know when me and Hana Hyperfixates will announce the release, of An Interview with Alex Hirsch!!

I'm finally back to working on some of my older projects, re: revamping decades old skins and I present to you this ancient monstrosity.
For those of you unaware, I recovered my external 2TB hard drive a few years ago, and was delighted to realize that some of my older skins - dating back 5 or 10+ years, for some of them - were stored on it. I've since issued a challenge to myself to go back over these skins and bringing them up to modern standards and aesthetics, while changing as little as possible about them between versions.
This skin is from a particularly old board, from one of the earliest sites I ever had. Obviously a lot has broken on the skin -
(most of the images were hosted on NickPic, RIP)
- and a lot of other items weren't ever finished to completion or aren't compatible with current methods of skinning, so it's been an uphill battle to finally get this to a point where I can show more of it off. I've had to take some liberties with the layout, which I'm actually not mad about, though it will deviate a bit from it's older aesthetic.
This skin will be released as a P2U multi-sale when I'm finished, though it may be a bit more expensive than my other skins due to the fact that I'm coding a completely unique index on it. (Instead of a more standardized or uniform layout for the forum index.)
The index so far:
I still have two more categories to finish styling, and then seven more modules (such as topics, profiles, posts, etc.) to create, as well as any miscellaneous styling, before this skin will be available. But this isn't bad for a few weeks work after letting it sit for almost a year!

My current project, the Unicorn Tapestry Cardigan, by Star Crossed Knits.
Her suggested yarn was the Cascade 220 Sport (Peruvian highland wool).
I have previously worked with that yarn and made a classic green Christmas sweater. But even the superwash variety wool made my skin go insane. I plan to write another blog on the difference of “superwash”, how it changes the yarn, what exactly a micron is.
But for now, what a gorgeous sweater that was, as long as I covered every square inch of my skin before I wore it. Even then, I made it about 6 hours tops before I felt too itchy to go on.
This sweater was going to be different, I foolishly vowed. I then spent countless hours researching cotton yarns. I tend to run cold in the wintertime, and don’t wear cardigans if I’m cold. I wanted this to be my spring and summer sweater, so a breathable wool alternative was a must!
And then the insanity began.
Cotton yarn is wonderful. It comes in bright colors, it’s affordable, it’s easily found in craft stores, however, these benefits come hand in hand with a myriad of cons. My next post is going to be on alllll of the research that went into cotton yarn.
For now though, I’ll just summarize and say that ended up buying Rowan Softyak DK. I am very fortunate to live near a flagship store of Rowan, I got to touch a lot of yarn before I dropped a lot of money. I also learned that yarn is softer wound in a hank than knitting.
You seriously bought an animal fiber yak yarn after all of that cotton research?
I can explain!!
This yarn is 76% cotton, 15% yak, and 9% nylon. An excellent blend in my opinion, tons of breathability, the yak adds just a touch more warmth, and the nylon creates longer fibers within the yarn. This allows for stretch that will hold its shape, and increases durability. It is expensive though (booo), but you pay for quality!
The yarn itself is actually a “chainette construction”, which is almost an i-cord, stuffed with fibers. I’m becoming quite a fan of these, it creates durability, and by “stuffing” the cotton chain with the animal fibers, this adds another layer between me and an allergen!! Win-win!
I have brought out my snail magnifying glass to illustrate the cord, behold my snail son:

I am pleasantly surprised with how smooth it’s knitting up, you cannot see the yarn texture reflected in the finished knit! I’m not ready to give my final verdict on the yarn until it is washed and blocked though, updates to follow!

Goal: find a way to store all my misc. clothes/scrap fabric that has potential and I dont want to throw away (because we dont waste anything is this house), but will probably never get around to using

Result: this thing
P.s. I know this looks like a lot of clothing waste but I haven't gotten rid of any clothing item I owned since the 6th grade and as soon as my family found out I sew I became the local donation pile essentially lol.
P.s.s while this 'bean bag' storage solution is extremely comfy it is also stupidly heavy because it's fabric and not foam make at your own risk this sucker is not moving
P.s.s.s the next time I make something like this it's going to be a much smaller version for kneeling floor troll purposes while sewing

Hello Friends and Happy Tuesday!
Last week, I was preparing myself to post a Project Update when I realized it's been nearly two months since my last one! But then I remembered it was actually a Blackwork Roads week, so the update had to wait!
Now, the wait is over and I can finally share some new progress on four different quilts!
Check out the Fibre Arts blog for more details!

Edits to be added: Here's a post to reference as I work on this project!
Every time my knees start hurting from kneeling on the floor, I'll put an update here on how the project is going!
What's the project? For Halloween this year (*cough* aka today...) I'm going to throw together a Virgil-themed dress!
The plan is a pretty simple purple dress with a fun spiderweb lace on top, and some yellow embroidery in Frankensteinesque straight stitches, like on Virgil's jacket. I'm going to ignore the pattern's sleeves to make big bat-wing sleeves out of the lace! Normally, I'd try to add pockets out of, well, spite, but in the interest of time I'm going to skip on that for now.
This picture's a little more blurry than I'd like it to be but hey! Sometimes life is a little blurry, like when people dump chemicals in the creek by your house and so you tear up from the fumes when you try to go on a walk and can't see the root in front of you and almost fall on your face! Anyway here's what I'm working with!

Change =/= Defeat.
This week has been very eye-opening for me. With tax season over and Hayley back home, our intentions were to make a game together about several characters to kind of introduce ourselves to RPGMaker so we could later do an even bigger project. Meanwhile, I was going to continue working on my webcomic, Promise Me, on the weekends. Both of us were excited to do this over the summer, but since our writing session for the game a few days ago ... the plans have changed. A lot. To put it plainly: my body is quitting on me. The damage to my spine is something we are trying to halt the progression of and it is very slow-going. I rely on epidural steroid injections to be able to sit up and move around, although it's limited. Surgery is very likely in my future and right now my main goal is to prevent it for as long as possible ... and that has meant accepting some really hard facts. I cannot make Promise Me into a comic. It's much too long, too complicated, and to fully render pages as I was before takes a lot of time and work. These fully-rendered illustrations are no longer physically viable for me --- nor is the polish that would be required for doing every single asset within an RPG all on my own. Both of these projects ... had to change. As much I hate it, I cannot make them as I am now. We're probably about 10 years too late for the scale(s) that we were hoping for. However. This is not the end. Promise Me can be done in more of a novel format. I have wanted to get back into actually writing for some time now and I feel like I will do these characters --- and this story --- better justice this way. I can illustrate very important moments, should the desire hit me. As for the game ... Hayley and I have switched gears and decided to keep the story and the characters -- but will be relying on where I am most comfortable. Comics. Not the fully rendered, beautiful pages that I used to be proud of -- but instead, sketchy loose pages that will allow me to tell things faster without also damaging myself. I have to find a balance. And it is going to take me a while to actually get there. I gave up on making my own Vtuber rig for these very same reasons. I don't have the time. I only have so many hours in a day where I can be in my office chair/sitting up before the pain becomes too much and I need to be laying down. I wanna spend those hours doing things that I love. Hayley is helping me write dialog and scenes and stuff ... and I am also helping her with the writing for a game she wants to make with assets she had obtained from other really talented people. I wanna thank everyone who was so supportive, so excited for these projects. Things are changing around but nothing is going away forever. I still love all these characters and can't actually put them down. I'm just going to be presenting them in a way that was not the original plan. And I intend to find a way to thrive while doing it.

I think it's time for a little project update!

I think I've seen the whole range of colors from this yarn now and I'm really loving it! I'm having a lot of fun working on this piece, and I can't wait to make more progress on it. The pattern doesn't come through too well with this fuzzy yarn but I really don't mind. I know it's there, that's all that matters.
I also started a new project because of course I did

I got these yarns for my birthday, and after some deliberation I decided to make a bag with tunisian crochet. The yarn is pretty light weight, so I might have to add a lining eventually. I also enjoy the colors more than I thought I would, and I plan on making one half with this turquoise/orange, and the other half with the purple/blue.
I definitely have a habit of starting way more projects than I finish, but I'm actually pretty excited about both of them. The cardigan has the highest priority for me right now, but it's nice to have a side project that doesn't require as much focus. Obviously there's no pattern to follow, since I'm just using the simple stitch, and even if I make a mistake, it's much easier to fix than with the lace pattern.

This was originally posted on my YouTube channel, as a channel update.
Text transcript under the cut:
Project Stardust Progress Update! ~slowly but surely, progress is being made~
"Project Stardust" will be made up of six episodes, with a bonus intro "episode zero!"
I estimate it will end up being a half hour's worth of content once fully edited...
Episode 1 completion: 1 minute 41 seconds out of ~6 minutes.
I can't estimate when this will be done, as I'm working around my school schedule, and I've been exhausted after coming home from school and work...
I appreciate your patience! This is my biggest project yet and requires a LOT of original artwork. I hope you all tune in when it goes live!
